Flu Clinic We are holding another flu clinic this Saturday (16th November 2019). This clinic is for any patient aged 18 and over who is eligible for a flu jab. The clinic will run from 9:00am until 11:30am.
Extended Access We would like all patients in our community to be able to see a local GP or Nurse when they need to. We have set up a network of GP Practices across the region offering extended opening hours for pre-bookable and same day routine extended access appointments. The GP extended opening hours service operates between 6.30pm-8.00pm on weekdays and 9.00am- 1.00pm on weekends and allows patients to be seen within a network of GP Practices at a convenient time and location, depending on availability. We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.
To help us with this we are inviting patients to join our patient forum or alternatively if time is an issue you could join our virtual forum (or 'patient lite'). As a member of our forum you will be asked questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received.
We will contact you via email (for patient lite) and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.
What the group will do
The Patient Participation Group will:
1. Consult with the practice on service development and improvement
2. Contribute to, and be kept informed of, practice decisions
3. Represent the views of the patient body and provide feedback on their needs and concerns
4. Contribute to the design of and participate in the review of the practice patient survey
5. Promote good health and higher levels of health education by encouraging activitied within the practice.
We aim to gather as broad a spectrum of patients as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

The practice would like to say a big thank you all our patients who took the time to complete one of our patiet survey questionnaires, both online and in practice and in consultation with our patient group we have agreed an action plan to look at how we can further improve the services currently offered.

The Severn Fields Patient Group wishes to create more of a Community Hub within the Practice. A place where you can come along not only to see a Doctor but to find out about health topics, meet others socially, make new friends and learn more about social issues.
With this in mind we will, over the next year, be holding talks on various subject; both health wise and social. There will also be Coffee mornings and information days.
All to be held in the Board room,2nd Floor (Lift available).
These events are all free and open to both Patients and Non-Patients.

All coffee mornings feature a tabletop sale of pre-loved Books, DVDs and games, free refreshments and drop ins from various members of the Practice team and PPG.
General Coffee Morning 2019 Dates:Every 2nd Friday of the month from 10.30 until 12.30
One of our Care and Community Coordinators will be present if you have any questions about local voluntary services
Young Parents & Babies 2019 Dates: Every LAST Friday of the month from 9.30 until 11.30
A member of the local Midwifery team will be on hand for general queries and chat and pre-loved baby and children's clothes, toys and other items are available for donation
27th September - World's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support
All donations raised from these events will fund vital equipment for the practice, so you can help us just by popping in for a browse! If you would like to be involved in deciding how these donations are used, please consider joining the group.
