Repeat Prescriptionsblue_yellow_pills

Repeat prescriptions are taken by written request only and can be ordered in the following ways:

 By Phone via the Prescription Ordering Service -  The prescription ordering service or POD is a new NHS service launched by the Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group. This new service allows patients to call and order your prescription directly. To do this simply call on 0333 358 3509 between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday for assistance. This call will be charged at local call rate.

In Surgery - tick the boxes for medication required on the right hand side of your last prescription, or complete the prescription request form, and place in prescription box at reception. 


By Post - please allow extra time for the request to reach the surgery and enclose an SAE if you want the prescription posted to you.


Online - via EMIS Access (follow our online service link above).

By Email - to - please allow two working days to process.

By Fax - on 01743 272441 - allow two working days to process.

Chemist - you can take your request to a chemist who has agreed to collect prescriptions from us.The chemist will bring your request to us and collect the prescription - again you will need to allow extra time for this.


If you would like a chemist to collect your prescription from the surgery write the name of the chemist on your request and RING the chemist to ask them to collect - allow extra time for this.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

48_hoursPlease allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. Requests received after 17:00 will not be printed until the next working day morning, and will be ready for collection two working days after that.
